Lemon Pepper Chicken

Simple and easy chicken curry blended with the taste of lemon and pepper.

Ingredients:

Chicken – 700 gms
Lemon – 3 Tsp
Salt – as per taste

Green chilies- 3

Cream 2 tbsp
2 Large onion pureed
Ginger garlic paste 2 Tsp
Yogurt – 1/2 cup

Chopped ginger- 1 tsp

Kasuri methi - 2 tsp
Black Pepper 2 Tsp
Fresh Coriander – few leaves
Oil – 2 Tbsp

Method:

  1. Marinate the Chicken: 

    Take 700 gms chicken. Cut into pieces.

    Sprinkle lemon (2 Tsp), 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste, Yogurt (1/2 cup), Black Pepper (1 tsp), Fresh Coriander – few leaves.

    Mix all the ingredients with chicken and marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. In a pan, heat oil and fry chopped ginger.

  3. Add slit green chilies and pureed onion. Cook for 1 min and then add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste.

  4. Now fry till light golden.

  5. Pour the marination mixture.

  6. Cover for 20 minutes to tender the chicken.

  7. After 20 minutes, uncover and add cream.

  8. On high heat evaporate the excess water.

  9. Add the remaining black pepper powder, green chilies, and lemon juice. Also, add Kasuri methi and salt.

  10. Let it cook for a few more minutes to thicken the gravy.

  11. Your ‘lemon pepper chicken’ is ready to serve.
